Description
IFM Electronics O1D102 background-suppressed photoelectric distance sensor is made of diecast zinc housing, glass window, polycarbonate LED window. It features DC PNP electrical design, 18 to 30V DC operating voltage, <150mA current consumption. It is used for distance measurement operates according to the time-of-flight principle. A light beam is emitted and reflected by an object. The time the light beam takes for the distance from the unit to the object and back from the object to the unit is measured. Since the speed of light is constant, the distance can be calculated on the basis of the time of flight.
